State Police: Montville troopers issue 648 seat belt infractions

State police at Troop E in Montville issued 648 infractions for seat belt violations during their participation in this year’s “Click It or Ticket,” campaign. Troop E Commander Lt. Michael B. Darcy, said state troopers will continue to enforce the state’s seat belt laws year round.
Likewise in Norwich, Norwich Police Chief Louis Fusaro said the goal is to encourage voluntary compliance with seat belt laws. Norwich police issued 89 infractions for seat belt violations, along with 21 tickets for other violations and arrested one drunken driver. The “Click It or Ticket” campaign ran from Nov. 13 to Nov. 30.
